Cathleen Jeanty

Cathleen Jeanty is currently the Deputy International Affairs Officer for Young Democrats of America. Previously, she was one of five youth globally selected to join Student Energy’s inaugural Youth Energy Narratives Council, where she developed a research-backed narrative on youth engagement in the climate and energy space, advising global climate philanthropists on best practices for involving young leaders and activists.

As an Innovation Fellow at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Cathleen collaborated with staff and stakeholders to enhance operational frameworks, addressing challenges faced by displaced communities and humanitarian actors. Additionally, she has published numerous pieces on climate policy and youth engagement for outlets like The Atlantic Forum and authored key national statements such as America’s National Youth Statement on Climate and America’s Youth Declaration of Human Rights, which have been shared with stakeholders, including The White House, the Department of State, and the UAE Embassy in Washington, DC. She is a NextGen member at Foreign Policy for America.
